Operating Principle The powerful ViscoPro 2000 offers the ultimate combination of control, versatility and user friendliness. Coupled with Cambridge Viscosity's viscometers this system provides highly accurate and repeatable results. The processor outputs viscosity, temperature, temperature-compensated viscosity (TCV) and alarm data on a visual display and both RS-232 and RS-485 and 4-20mA signals. The ViscoPro 2000 can be programmed for up to 40 different fluid settings. This allows for rapid changeovers in production processes. Selection of operating characteristics, control set points and alarms are easily accomplished by means of an inviting menu-driven interface or RS-232 or RS-485 communications ports. |
The ViscoPro 2000 has a unique feature that detects solvent cleaning and directs the viscometer to clean itself. It also has a proportional-integral control feature for "set-it and forget-it" operation.
The integrated temperature-compensation feature, based on an ASTM double log relationship, eliminates the effects of variations in process temperature and increases the efficiency of viscosity control.
