Vinci Technologies Core Preservation Kit

The core preservation kit provides the components necessary for the core preservation technique. It consists of wrapping the core sample in several layers of high quality plastic film to prevent puncturing and then wrapping again with several layers of aluminum foil, with the free ends crimped together. A wire is tied around the core to make a handle. The foil-wrapped core sample is then dipped in a molten wax coating material for mechanical stabilization. The prepared core is then introduced in a heat sealed plastic bag for transportation
