Vinci Technologies Automatic Slabbing Saw
A
versatile diamond impregnated radial blade utilized to slab core samples in two
halves or to trim full diameter rock samples. This automated machine is fitted
with a variable rate feed mechanism that enables the cutting of long section of
very dense core in one pass without fracturing, grooving or chipping and
producing a high-finished surface. The core sample remains fixed, while the
carriage holding the diamond disc and motor unit moves along the core sample at
an adjustable and regulated speed. Moving of the saw blade along the core sample
starts when the cutting depth is reached. The saw arm oscillates around an axis
so that a constant cut pressure is maintained whatever the hardness of the
sample material encountered. This pressure is easily adjusted while the machine
is in operation
